Georgian airline Geoskys passenger operator Georgian Wings, is set to commence operations to Azerbaijan. The first international regular flight for Georgian Wings, the Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi route, is scheduled to launch on September 6th. In addition to Baku, Georgian Wings has plans to expand its services to Ganja. The airline has already obtained the necessary permits to operate the Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi and Tbilisi-Ganja-Tbilisi routes on a regular basis, with seven flights per week.
During its initial phase, Georgian wings will operate flights from Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport to Heydar Aliyev International Airport three times a week.
Passengers will be accommodated on the Italian-French ATR 72-500 Aircraft, designed to seat 72 passengers, with flights scheduled every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The starting ticket price, inclusive of taxes and offering meals on board, will be 89 euros (or equivalent in GEL).
Tickets will be available for purchase starting August 30th, accessible through the official website of Georgian Wings, Georgianwings.com, as well as ticket offices.
As per Airline representatives "Azerbaijan holds a priority status as a destination for our airline, driven from the strong demand for this route. In the initial phase, Georgian Wings will operate the international Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi route three times weekly. It's worth noting that since July 31st, the airline has also initiated regular domestic flights between Tbilisi and Batumi. Additionally, the flight schedule can be adjusted to accommodate transit flights, including routes such as Baku-Tbilisi-Batumi or vice versa. This strategic decision not only promotes and enhances transit routes within the country but also fosters increased passenger mobility.
