Unacompanied Minors

Georgian Wings accepts on its flights children unaccompanied by an adult (UMNR) under certain conditions.

An unaccompanied minor (UMNR), is considered the person who travels unaccompanied by an adult:

  • aged between 5 and 18 years, if the person is a citizen of Georgia
  • aged between 5 and 12 years, if the person is a citizen of another state

An additional fee of 50 Euro per person per flight segment is paid for the transport of minors. 

Responsibilities of parents or guardians:

  • Arrange for the necessary travel documents - ticket, passport, parent or guardian's notary approved permission for the airline
  • An authorized adult on departure shall stay at the airport until the flight is departed
  • An authorized adult upon arrival to be at the airport at the actual time of arrival
  • Fill and sign the form associated with escorting the UMNR
  • Pay all costs involved in return transportation (meals, accommodation, ground transport, return fare, etc.) in case the authorized adult fails to meet the UMNR upon arrival

Responsibilities of the Airline:

  • The UMNR becomes the airline's full responsibility from the moment he/she is handed over by the parents, guardian or authorized adult upon departure.
  • Until UMNR is handed to the parents, guardian or authorized adult upon arrival.

Traveling with infants

Infants between the ages of 14 days and 2 years must be seated on the lap of an accompanying adult.

An infant’s ticket is priced at 10% of an adult's ticket.

Adults whose bookings include an infant are exempt from airport fees; 

 

  • At the time of departure and return, the infant must be under 2 years of age.
  • Each adult may travel with only one infant.
  • If an additional seat is purchased, a rear-facing car seat for infants can be brought on board.
    - The car seat must have an internal seat belt to secure it to the airplane seat.

Passengers traveling with an infant are allowed to bring hand luggage for baby accessories into the cabin, with a weight limit of 10 kg.

 

A baby stroller must be checked in with your baggage and can be transported for free if the child is on the same flight; Otherwise, an additional fee for the stroller will apply.
