Georgian Wings is starting regular flights on Tbilisi-Trabzon-Tbilisi route

Starting from October 14, 2024, Georgian Wings, in partnership with Ulutour travel and Ali Osman Ulusoy, will launch regular charter flights on the Tbilisi-Trabzon-Tbilisi route. 

 

Georgian Wings will operate flights from Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport to Trabzon International Airport twice a week, every week, on Mondays and Thursdays. 

 

The flights will be operated regularly throughout the 2024-2025 winter navigation season. On these flights’ passengers will be served by Georgian Wings using a Boeing 737 aircraft with a capacity of 148 passengers. 

 

According to Mr. Shalva Kiknadze, President of Georgian Wings, “We have an important news in the airline; Starting from October 14, Georgian Wings is launching regular charter flights ordered by partner companies Ulutour travel and Ali Osman Ulusoy, with a frequency of two times per week on the Tbilisi-Trabzon-Tbilisi route. 

 

This new route offers many opportunities for travelers, enhancing accessibility and comfort for those wishing to travel in both regions. 

 

For Georgian travelers, a direct connection to Trabzon opens up numerous possibilities in northeastern Turkey, both by simplifying planning trips to Trabzon and for travel from Trabzon to other destinations for tourism purposes, as well as, it is very convenient and easy for business visits considering the flight time. Through these flights Turkish travelers have the opportunity to visit Tbilisi, known for its vibrant atmosphere, rich heritage, and warm hospitality. 

 

The decision regarding these regular charter flights strengthens tourism and will support economic growth in both Georgia and Turkey. 

 

It is noteworthy that, usually, the airline does not handle the sale of tickets for regular charter flights, as it is done by the ordering company. However, in this case, by the partners’ initiative, travelers will also be able to purchase tickets for these flight through the airline’s official website.

To celebrate the first inaugural flight, on October 14 at 06:00 AM, at Tbilisi International Airport and Trabzon International Airport inaugural flight events are planned. In Georgia, representatives of the Georgian side as well as the founders of partner companies Ulutour travel and Ali Osman Ulusoy and about 50 delegates invited by the Turkish side will attend the event, while in Trabzon, the Mayor and the Governor of Trabzon, along with representatives of other partner companies, will participate in the inaugural flight event.
